    Clinical Immigration Assessments

An Immigration Assessment can be critical evidence for your immigration case. Don’t make the mistake of submitting your immigration application without a Clinical Immigration Assessment attached. Keeping your family together may depend on it.

What does a Clinical Immigration Assessment entail?

A Clinical Immigration assessment requires a minimum of 2-4 sessions that must be scheduled at least one week apart. After the final session, a written report is prepared. It will take 2-3 weeks, after the assessment sessions are completed, for a final report to be submitted to you and/or your immigration attorney (holidays are exempt). Our assessments are comprehensive and powerful.

    Couples Counseling

Do you feel like your relationship is at a standstill? Are you and your partner stuck in the same argument loop every night? Do you feel like you and your partner are drifting away? Do you desire more intimacy between you and your partner? All things can be improved, changed and bettered, with just a little support, no matter how big or small. With couples therapy, you’ll learn how to communicate your feelings and needs, and get what you want out of your relationship. In my couple’s therapy sessions, I help people develop the necessary skills needed to maintain sustaining love.

    EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from different treatment approaches. EMDR therapy is an integrative psychotherapy and uses a technique called bilateral stimulation to repeatedly activate opposite sides of the brain. Therapists often use eye movements to facilitate the bilateral stimulation. These eye movements mimic the period of sleep referred to as rapid eye movement or REM sleep, and this portion of sleep is frequently considered to be the time when the mind processes the recent events in the person’s life.

    Individual Therapy

Are you having a difficult time handling the struggles in your life? Could you use an expert opinion on what you’re going through, or a non-judgmental ear just to listen? Do you think you could benefit the most from individualized attention? Are you hesitant to talk to others about your problems? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then individual therapy could be the solution you’ve been seeking. Individual therapy differs from group or alternative therapy methods in the way that you are the sole focus of a single therapist who helps you develop and achieve your goals for therapy.

    Pre-Marital Counseling

Are you a newlywed? Did you just get engaged? Are you and your partner looking to take your relationship to the next level?

When you’re considering marriage, deciding on your honeymoon or figuring out where you want to live are among the first things you start to plan. Premarital counseling might be last on your list if it’s there at all. While it’s not an engagement topic that’s very fun or romantic, premarital counseling can set your marriage up to succeed and survive long-term, in spite of the odds.

    Telehealth

Do you need support, but can’t make it to an in-person appointment? Are you a busy stay-at-home or working parent, and don’t have the time to drive across town for an appointment?

Do you live in a more rural area, or maybe you prefer to just do things Virtually?

If so, we can help you through virtual therapy, or telehealth.

    Women’s Issues

Have you lost much of the joy you once felt? Are you struggling in an abusive or toxic relationship? Do you have years of living with low self-worth resulting in a less-than-desirable life?

Throughout the ages, women have been called “the fairer sex.” And yet, were you to ask women about their life experiences, many would admit their life events haven’t always seemed so fair.

Women may experience certain environmental, psychological, and biological challenges related to gender that have a significant impact on their mental health and well-being. If not addressed properly, these challenges can turn into burdens that often lead to anxiety, depression, and a lost sense of self.

    Women’s Support Group

As women, we face special challenges, including balancing our roles as wives, mothers, daughters, friends, our careers, amongst other significant roles.  We often take pride in our relationships and caregiving, yet take ourselves for granted, inadvertently minimizing our own needs and strengths.

It’s no wonder we’re often left feeling drained, alone, and unfulfilled.

The Women’s Support Group is a process group where women get to share their struggles and wins, and find support and encouragement in one another.  The group will focus on whatever the group brings as a presenting issue and will provide you with general skills to address these.
